Don and Marion's lives were extraordinary! They touched SO many people, in every walk of life, through MANY circumstances, and we all need a way to share our experiences, thoughts, stories, pictures, & memories of them.

I am so sorry to discover this about Don. I had spoken to him on the phone several years ago in Dallas and he said he owned an antique store, I think. I kept thinking someday I would go by.

Christmas time!

Don & I have always loved Christmas time. I remember when we were children and Mom would have to wrap our presents with comic book newspaper and then double wrap it with regular wrapping paper because we would shake, try to read through the gift wrap to see if we could determine what we ere getting before hand. It was fun. We used to have an aluminum Christmas tree and used that until I was in the 8th grade and we moved to Mesquite. It was so cool!

Although when Don got his job at the Bigtown Bowling Lanes he saved up enough money to buy us a real green artifical Christmas tree that Mom used for years afterwards. It was a special time for us. The tree was huge and looked so grand in our living room with our green plastic couch! LOL

Memories are fun!

Don's Obituary from the Dallas Morning News

Dent, Don Lyndall Age 55, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Friday, June 11, 2010 in Dallas, TX. He was born September 9, 1954 in Ennis to Clyde L. (Buddy) and Jean Vinson Dent. Don attended Park Cities Presbyterian Church, 4124 Oak Lawn Ave., in Dallas, TX where his memorial service will be held, Friday, June 18 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Davis, officiating. Surviving him are his partner, Marion Weger and his family, mother Jean and her husband Alvin Stivers of Azle; sister DeeAnn and her husband Jimmy Smith of Weatherford; lots of loving relatives and a large host of wonderful friends. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or to Park Cities Presbyterian Church.
